Cocoa
Right by Birkelunden, you’ll find Norway’s first and so far only cocoa bar. With a fireplace in the center of the space and a wide selection of hot chocolate, it’s a great place to visit especially during autumn and winter. How about trying mint and chili flavor? Choose from ten unique options and a bunch of toppings like caramel or smash. They also offer salads, bowls, cakes and lemonade.

National Museum
At Aker Brygge stands the Nordic region’s largest art museum, home to over 6,500 works of Norwegian and international art. Here, you can stroll through rooms filled with ancient Egyptian statues, marvel at iconic Edvard Munch paintings like The Scream and Madonna, and explore ever-changing exhibitions — which have included everything from Kim Kardashian’s dress to modern furniture design. The architecture is both modernist and inviting, with high ceilings, glass walls, muted tones and spaces designed to inspire reflection. When the weather’s nice, don’t miss the rooftop terrace with great views of Akershus Fortress and the Oslofjord.

Oslo Badstuforening (Sukkerbiten)
Our favorite sauna experience in the city! This is Oslo in slow motion with warm wood, cold fjord water, and a relaxed atmosphere. Oslo has truly become a sauna city, now home to dozens of floating saunas and hundreds of thousands of yearly visitors. At Sukkerbiten and Langkaia, you can sit in wood-fired saunas with the fjord just a few steps away. Some saunas have their own small changing rooms, but there are also two larger shared ones available, as well as a restroom on-site. Throughout the week, you’ll find special sessions such as sauna rituals, quiet hours, and inclusive community events. Both public drop-in and private bookings are available. A single ticket lasts for 90 minutes, and everything can easily be booked online.
